Zen with a Kickstand

This series—developed-in-mind for the exhibition Zen with a Kickstand—depicts visual patterns, codes and text born of our contemporary digital age, and set within and among forms appreciated for their naturalistic authenticity, their spiritual references or aesthetic purity (the Chinese scholars rock). Ranging from abstraction to anonymous silhouettes, this series most often depicts pixel-mosaic-filled stone forms drawn on paper using graphite, charcoal and/or ink pen.
